Job Description:
Wittenberg University seeks an experienced visionary to serve in its newly created position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its Information Technology Services division. Reporting directly to the president and working in tandem with the Provost, the CIO serves on the University's senior leadership team. Key responsibilities include developing a strategic direction that will enhance the student experience and advance Wittenberg's mission and goals; leading the development of innovative technologies that support teaching, learning, research, student-life and administrative operations; developing a robust and dependable technology infrastructure and managing all aspects of the university's IT environment.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a master's degree in information systems, library science, management or a related field, and must have ten years of progressive leadership experience in an organization of comparable size and complexity; five years experience within higher education and senior leadership experience are preferred. A successful record of administration is an essential qualification including strategic planning, tactical planning and program development; proven supervisory and staff development skills; strong communication skills; an understanding of the role of information technology in higher education and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies and to build consensus among these groups.
